Halong is my hometown. This seaside city, both peaceful and magnificent, is located near the border between China and Vietnam.
I have often dreamed of sharing the beauty of Halong with friends from all over the world.
You are surely familiar with Ha Long Bay, a natural wonder recognized by UNESCO, with its picturesque islands nestled among majestic mountains. But few people know the land part of Halong, where legend says a dragon landed, and which still holds so many treasures to discover.
That’s why I decided to create The Best of Halong.

About Lê Thi Loan, the Founder of The Best of Halong
I am the daughter of a miner, born and raised in Halong, my hometown. It is here that I grew up and built my life. Every layer of coal, every rock face, every strip of sand, and every wave of Halong fills me with boundless admiration. The inhabitants of my region live to the rhythm of work, fishing, and the fields, braving the sun and the rain. They have endured wars of invasion and have witnessed the daily progress of their hometown. In their eyes still shines a limitless pride for their land, Halong.
Halong, my native land, is a true gem! Recognized twice as a UNESCO World Heritage site. With “The Best of Halong,” I wish to help you discover the stories of this extraordinary city. I will recount the heroic tales of the inhabitants who fought to protect their sky and sea from invaders. I will also speak to you of the thousands of rocky mountains with spectacular shapes, the mysterious caves, the fine sandy beaches, and the breathtakingly beautiful bays.
Halong is also the stories of ancestral fishing villages that add a touch of romance to this grandiose landscape. It is the history of the pioneers who awakened the eternal muse and continue to keep it alive. Finally, it is the story of a united people who have built Halong to make it an ever more beautiful and prosperous city.
With “The Best of Halong,” I invite you to share my love for this city. I will offer you unforgettable experiences and help you discover the responsibility I feel towards this magical place.
